ZOA Uganda is an International Christian Non-Governmental Organisation for Humanitarian and Rehabilitation Assistance. Our mission is to assist rebuilding the livelihoods of people affected by warfare, conflict or natural disaster. We operate in 17 countries in Africa and Asia. Our programmes in Uganda concentrate on Food Security, Livelihoods/Economic Development, Education; and WASH in close cooperation with counterpart structures.
POST: COORDINATOR VT-IGA (Vocational training and income generating activities)
Duty station: Nwoya
Supervisor: Manager VT-IGA
Starting date: 1st January 2013
This 3 year project is funded by the EU. The Coordinator Vocational Training and Income Generating Activities (VT and IGA) ensures the implementation of the project on a day to day basis in Nwoya, (s)he supervises the ZOA staff in Nwoya under the project. The coordinator provides organisational development support to the partner organisation and the vocational training centres.
Plan and implement activities and/or facilitates implementation of the VT and IGA project.
Ensure monitoring and reporting of projects in line with donor requirements.
Contribute to preparation and planning of projects and provide input for new proposals.
Mentor and coach the partner and vocational training centers and engage in organizational development of the organizations.
Diploma or Degree in livelihoods, social studies or other relevant field
At least three years field experience in the sectors vocational training, income generating activities, working with youth and/or organisational development of rural institutes
Motivated to coach and work with rural vocational training centres.
Familiar with Project Cycle Management
