RTI INTERNATIONAL (RTI) is implementing the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-funded Uganda Governance, Accountability, Participation and Performance (GAPP) Program The

goal of this five-year program is to increase participation, accountability and local governance for effective service delivery. To achieve this goal, the GAPP Program will focus on three components: (1) Support and strengthen national level government accountability institutions in their interaction with local governments; (2) Strengthen local government revenue, procurement, financial and planning systems; and (3) Strengthen civil society organizations (CSOs) and other non:state actors (NSAs) to improve voice and accountability. The GAPP Program will work at the national level and in at least 24 districts in northern Uganda, the Albertine region of Bunyoro, and central Uganda.

As the prime contractor for the GAPP Program, RTI is currently seeking candidates for the following job positions.

The following positions will be based in the GAPP Program field office in northern Uganda:

Office Manager/Accountant will provide a wide range of administrative, accounting, logistical, human resources, procurement, transport management, inventory maintenance, secretarial/reception, and other duties for the northern Uganda field office and for project activities occurring in northern Uganda partner local governments; and will supervise the Driver.

Requirement:

A master's degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of experience (preferred), or a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of three years of experience; previous office management and accounting experience, preferably on a USAID/USG or other donor-funded project in Uganda; knowledge of institutional accounting and budgeting practices, especially those used by USAID/ USG; strong organization administration, financial and communication skills; knowledge of travel and logistics throughout Uganda; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; and knowledge of QuickBooks Is preferred.
