Applications are invited from qualified Ugandans to fill the following position in the Administrative Services Department, Bank of Uganda;

TITLE: 4 Drivers (Bullion Vans)
RANK: DRV III
REPORTS To: HEAD TRANSPORT AND TRAVEL SECTION
SUPERVISES: NONE

JOB PURPOSE:
To safely transport Bank staff, guests and goods.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drives Bank vehicles as authorized
•  Maintains Bank vehicles in good mechanical condition
• Ensures safety of vehicles, passengers and cargo.
• Ensures vehicle cleanliness

EXPECTED OUTPUTS:

• Transport for staff, goods and official Bank guests
• Well maintained Bank vehicles
• Safe arrival and custody of Bank cargo/goods

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Should be a holder of ‘A’ Level certificate with good understanding of the English language
• Valid driving permit with classes B, CM, CH, DL, DM
• Possession of certificate in Defensive driving is an added advantage

MAXIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• ‘A Level certificate

WORK EXPERIENCE:
At least eight (8) years of driving in a busy commercial environment two of which should involve lorry driving under class CH.

AGE: 30-45 years

COMPETENCIES
Technical Competencies:

• Defensive driving skills

Behavioural competencies:

• Ability to communicate in English
• Good customer care skills
