The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda), was founded to contribute to the process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of Life of persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and disease. TASO has received a 5-year CDC-PEPFAR Grant to implement accelerated HIV/AIDS epidemic control activities through a Health Systems Strengthening approach in Soroti Region, covering B districts oi Soroti, Kaberamaido (Cluster 1), Katakwi, Amuria (Cluster 2), Serere, Kumi, Bukedea and Ngora (Cluster 3). in addiuon, TASO will be implementing accelerated HIV/AIDS epidemic control activities through a Health Systems Strengthening approach in Masaka and Kalungu districts, as a Sub-recipient under the Masaka Region Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) Consortium funded by PEPFAR through CDC. in pursuit of such intentions, TASO invites applications from qualified, dedicated‘ competent, innovative and results-oriented persons for employment on a contract basis for the posts below;

JOB TITLE — REF: TS/HR/ DPMCD 05: ASSISTANT MONITORING & EVALUATl0N OFFICERS 02
Classification : Contract- full time
Location : TASO Service Centres
Reports to : Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Salary : Commensurate with training and experience
Supervises : Records Clerks and Stand- in Data Entry Clerks
Duty Station : Centers of Excellence

Main Purpose of the Job ;
To assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer ensure proper management of monitoring and evaluation systems at the 5 Centre.

Key Outputs

  • Data routinely cleaned and validated
  • Data entry supervised
  • Data backup ensured
  • Logistical support to Standing Data Entry Clerks
  • M&E data bases managed
  • Subordinates effectively supervised

Minimum Academic Qualifications: Degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics and Computer Science. Required Experience and Skills: 2 years in Data Management preferably in health related work Knowledge in TASO policy 5 on data management, Ethical issues in data management and 5 Rights of PLWHAs.

Key Skills: ICT Skills‘ Data Management Skills‘ Communication Skills, Analytical skills and interpersonal Skills.
