Job details:
The AIDS Support Organization (TASO Uganda), was founded to contribute to the process of preventing HIV infection, restoring hope and improving the quality of Life of persons, families and communities affected by HIV infection and disease. TASO has received a 5-year CDC-PEPFAR Grant to implement accelerated HIV/AIDS epidemic control activities through a Health Systems Strengthening approach in Soroti Region, covering B districts oi Soroti, Kaberamaido (Cluster 1), Katakwi, Amuria (Cluster 2), Serere, Kumi, Bukedea and Ngora (Cluster 3). in addiuon, TASO will be implementing accelerated HIV/AIDS epidemic control activities through a Health Systems Strengthening approach in Masaka and Kalungu districts, as a Sub-recipient under the Masaka Region Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) Consortium funded by PEPFAR through CDC. in pursuit of such intentions, TASO invites applications from qualified, dedicated‘ competent, innovative and results-oriented persons for employment on a contract basis for the posts below;

Main Purpose of the Job
The Pharmacy Logistics Support Officer is responsible for the forecasting transportation, storage and management cl Medial supplies in the Cluster Area; working closely with Medical Access Uganda Limited (MAUL), National Medical Stores (NMS), National Tuberculosis and E Leprosy Program (NLTP) District Health Office and Ministry of Haiti also provides technical support to the procurement teams for procurement of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and related equipment.

Key Outputs -

• Proper operation of Medical Stores tor medical supplies 3 including placing the orders, receipt, storage and distribution to all Health Centers in the Cluster Area
  
• Up-to-date records using the WAOS system in accordance
  
• with relevant schedules, policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions;
  
• A healthy and sale work with the right temperature, humidity and light exposure in the warehouse E
  
• Quality reports and/or related deviation reports compiled and submitted in time; 3 :
  
• Proper recording of medical supplies received; 5
  
• Monitoring and reporting of compliance as guided by the 3 standards ~
  
• Regular management of medical supplies in the Medical Store and alert the Pharmacy Logistics Support Adviser
  
• Proper timely replenishment of all drugs done

Minimum Academic Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy! Dispensing
  
• Degree in Pharmacy will be an added advantage
  
• Training in Forecasting, Quantification and Logistics and Supply Chain management is desired
  
• Comprehensive knowledge of antiretroviral therapy and HIV/AIDS treatment guidelines
  
• Knowledge of MS Office Applications
  
• Possession of a valid license to practice Pharmacy in Uganda

Required Experience and Skills ,
At least two years of experience in pharmacy services, one of . which should have been in administration and management of the medical supply chain operations;
