lntraHealth international ( www.intrahealth.org ) is currently seeking candidates for a new project funded by USAID. USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Easterh‘ Uganda (RHITES-E) will of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts in Eastern Uganda and 2 in Karamoja. This will be done by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and undeserved populations. All positions are located in Mbale, unless otherwise noted.

4 Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH), Reproductive Health (RH), and Family Planning (FP) Officers

The MNCH, RH and FP Officer will supportthe implementation of MNCH, RH and FP activities by providing mentorship, technical support and supervision to facilities supported by the RHITES—E Project. S/he will work with the RHITES-E technical team, the districts, and health facilities on key MNCH issues (skilled birth attendance, quality of emergency obstetric and newborn care, respectful care, and scale up of essential newborn care including newborn resuscitation and community-based approaches). S/he will ensure integration of MNCH with FP, HIV, TB, and Malaria.

Requirements: Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Clinical Medicine or a degree in Public Health, Social Sciences. Minimum 4 years’ experience implementing MNCH, FP and RH programs and training and mentoring health workers on the same.
