Self Help Africa( SHA ) is an international Non—Governmental Organisation implementing rural development, sustainable food and livelihoods security programmes in nine countries in Africa. SHA’s vision is an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa with a mission to support sustainable livelihoods for Uganda’s smallholder farmers.

Self Help Africa Uganda, in partnership with World Food Programme (WFP), will implement Agriculture and Market Support (AMS) Project in the Districts of Masindi, Kiryandongo and Adjumani, from June 2017 to May 2018. The project will offer training and other capacity building services intended to improve livelihoods for 3,000 farmers. SHA now seeks competent persons to fill the following position in the project.

6 Project Field Officers

Job Purpose: The Project Officers will support the effective planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the AMS project in their respective districts. S/he will provide technical backstopping to producer organisations and associations in order to promote and expand capacity in agro-marketing.

Qualification and experience:

• A Diploma in agriculture, agribusiness or s marketing.
• Good writing, reporting skills. Competence in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint).
• Fluency in English and at least either Luo, Madi or Runyoro will be an added advantage.
• Good motorcycle riding skills and valid riding permit and willingness to ride motorcycle
