Kyarnbogo University is a public university, established in 2003 following the merger of the former institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK), Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo (UPK), and Uganda National institute tor Special Education (UNISE). The University Campus is located on Kyamhogo Hill in the capital city, Kampala. it is the second largest university in Uganda with more than 20,000 students.

A. DIREBTORIITE OF INFORMATION COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY SERVICES (DICTS)

Job Title: Director Information Communication Technology Services
Salary Scale: M3

Responsible to: Deputy Vice Chancellor in Charge of Finance & Administration

Responsible tor: Deputy Director Information Communications Technology Services

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To manage and direct the overall operations and provision of information and communication technology services in the University.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

• Must have at least a Masters in ICT in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, information Technology and Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience.
  
• A PhD in an ICT related field will he an added advantage.
  
• He or she should be between 40 and 55 years old at the time of application. Y
  
• He or she should have the following behavioural and technical competencies: Strategic leadership and change management skills, teamwork, results-orientation, business orientation, integrity, and effective communication and interpersonal skills

NB; The successful candidate will be appointed on contract for live years and shall be eligible for re-appointment in accordance with the Human Resources Manual.
