Information Technology/System Officer
Under the direction of the Finance and Administration Manager, the lT/System Officer is responsible for providing efficient technology management sen/ices to maintain the operation of other functions and programs following established standards and’ procedures. This position requires that the person resides near the head office (Jinia). This position may require minimum travel to field offices for technical support and story documentations. A flexible working schedule is possible with this position.

Key Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• installing, testing, configuring, integrating, troubleshooting, optimizing and maintaining hardware and software to maximize WMU system availability and ensure efficient and effective sharing and transmission of information.
  
• Supporting system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability to ensure the delivery of IT services.
  
• Ensuring security compliance by reviewing network permissions and access to systems.
  
• Build staff capacity in efficient and effective use of IT resources and the system infrastructure set up.
  
• Manage the Organizations database on a timely basis.

Minimum Education and Work Experience.

• Bachelor's degree in information Technology, Computer Science or in a related relevant field preferred
  
• +2 years of experience in management of information Technology and Systems for International NGOs.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills (English & Luganda/Lusoga/Luo)
  
• Excellent analytical skills, project planning, monitoring and management skills.
