Rushere Community Hospital is a Christian interdenominational private not for profit (PNFP) NGO and treats all people without exception on colour, creed, age and sex. it is owned by the community who are represented by a Board oi Trustees and a Board of Directors. The Hospital is located in Rushere Town Board. it is a 102 bed-hospital and serves as a referral hospital for Kiruhura district with an estimated population oi 349,400 people. The catchment area also includes Sembabule District and parts of Kyeniojo and Kamwenge. The hospital has 2 opportunities for professional. dynamic and innovative individuals to join the team. A good BEA or BCOM degree in Accounting and at least 3 years experience is required, Processional certification and Excellent knowledge of Tally Software and inventory management for position 1 is an added advantage. An M Med or an MB ChB and A postgraduate Diploma in Health Care Management with 3 years experience is required for position 2.

MEDICAL SUPERINTENDENT — Reports to the Medical Director

Key Functions

• Planning and budgeting for health services activities in the Hospital;
  
• Coordinating the implementation of the Uganda Minimum Health Care Package;
  
• Overseeing the functioning of the health information management systems;
  
• Coordinating the procurement of equipment, medicines and other supplies for the hospital;
  
• Enforcing the Professional and Service Codes of Conduct and Ethics;
  
• Carrying out human resource management functions like identifying manpower needs, training, promotional, leave, deployment and appraisal;
  
• Ensuring adherence to National Health Service delivery standards;
  
• Responsible for the operationalization of occupational health and safety policy and guidelines;
  
• Ensuring regular maintenance of hospital infrastructure and equipment;
  
• Coordinating the provision of Continuous Professional Development; and
  
• Preparing and submitting periodic reports to relevant authorities.
  
• Deputizing the Hospital Medical Director
