Job details:
Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (for people with disability) was established in 2006 as a private non-profit, non-governmental organization and is supported by CBM (Christian Blind Mission).

CoRSU Rehabilitation Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre on Entebbe Road provides Orthopaedic Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation, mainly for children with disability.

CoRSU Hospital is urgently looking for young and dynamic potential professionals in the following fields:

Paediatrician (1 position)
Reports to: Medical Director ’

Objective of the position:
The Pediatrician provides expert advice and assistance with management for all complex and critically ill paediatric patients at CoRSU in particular they give regular support to the Cerebral palsy clinic and review all syndromic children admitted to the hospital. Fuiltime presence at the hospital is not required but availability for telephonic assistance and guidance is necessary.

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

• A qualified medical doctor with specialist postgraduate training in Pediatrics
  
• Registered with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners’ Council.
  
• Clinical competency and proficiency in pediatrics.
  
• Research skills
  
• Ultrasound diagnostic skills
  
• Specialist nutrition knowledge will be an added advantage
  
• Medical management of acutely sick children
  
• Knowledge of paediatric syndromes
  
• PICU experience
