Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and North America.
Reporting to the Procurement Coordinator, the successful candidate will review and monitor the implementation of the procurement cycle policy and guidelines for the timely availability of quality goods works and services at the most competitive prices in line with Baylor- Uganda’s mission
Overall responsibilities:
The Procurement Officer Carries out market surveys under the guidance of the procurement manager in accordance to the Baylor-Uganda policy and procurement guidelines, organize the relevant information/documents to be used in both the Evaluation and Contracts committee meetings then take and file minutes, Keep and update procurement records on a quarterly basis relating to suppliers, different user department procurement needs, approved contracts, Receiving, recording and distributing incoming mails in Procurement unit, Make follow up of supplies to be delivered within the stipulated delivery period according to the terms of the order/contract/agreement and give feedback to users as regards the progress of their requisitions, Provide technical support to user departments in specification development and contract management, Preparation of Purchase order documentation and contracts of goods, services and works, Establish and document the supplier’s service delivery given the user’s remarks for future reference then prepare documents for payments to suppliers and verify the user s as per procurement manual.
