Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and North America.


Reporting to the Head Human Resource, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of Baylor Uganda Human Resource systems and practices in the region in line with the Baylor Uganda HR Manual and the various program Objectives


Overall responsibilities:

The Regional HR Coordinator develops and monitors the implementation of HR regional plan and budget, monitor the implementation of Performance Management system, monitor the recruitment & selection process as well as implementing the induction and placement, review and implement the Baylor Uganda Staff training & development strategy, design, maintain and update an HR regional database and manage the clock in & out time system in alignment to the leave and out of office information in the region, review and monitor the implementation of employee relations, Health and safety, leave management and welfare procedures, develop and maintain partnerships with the district personnel stakeholders, Conduct periodic Talent audits and develop succession plans, prepare monthly and quarterly reports in regard to the regional human resource management issues


Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial/Organizational Psychology or MBA(Human Resource ) or a Degree in Human Resource management or Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a relevant post graduate qualification
  • The candidate must have at least three (3) years working experience in managing a corporate function, performance driven programs, managing the change process with a reputable NGO.

  • Team and communication skills, analytical skills, networking and partnership skills.
  • Must be dynamic, Persuasive &convincing, self- motivated an able to demonstrate high initiative.
