ABOUT DAI GLOBAL LLC
DAI Global LLC is a world-renowned international development organization with over 50 years of experience in more than 150 countries delivering results across the spectrum of international development contexts, from stable societies and high-growth economies to challenging environments racked by political or military conflict. DAI is currently implementing the USAID/Uganda Feed the Future Uganda Inclusive Agricultural Markets Activity (FtF IAM) in Uganda.

ABOUT FEED THE FUTURE UGANDA INCLUSIVE AGRICULTURAL MARKETS ACTIVITY (FTF IAM) The USAID/Uganda Feed the Future Uganda Inclusive Agricultural Markets Activity (FtF IAM) is a six-year USAID-funded Activity. FtF IAM works with agro-industry/agribusiness firms, Government of Uganda (GoU) institutions and agencies, and market actor organizations to improve efficiencies in cross-market functions such as input supply and agribusiness services, value addition and business support services, to increase incomes and improve livelihoods through agriculture-led inclusive economic growth.

FtF IAM leverages on inclusive, private-sector business models to economically empower women, youth, and People with Disabilities (PWD) and scale opportunities for these groups to advance into roles and market functions with greater income-earning potential. Inclusive business models advance Gender, Youth and Social Inclusion (GEYSI) objectives while generating sustainable returns to such businesses, thereby leading to sustained investments in inclusive models.

The Activity has identified specific areas of technical assistance and other initiatives to directly address constraints to the inclusion and participation of women, youth, refugees and PWDs in specific market systems. These areas include incorporating risk mitigation strategies for gender-based violence (GBV), and other policy and operational frameworks used by the private sector that inhibit inclusive practices. FTF IAM has identified these opportunities by administering the FtF IAM-specific GEYSI framework and
FtF IAM now seeks the services of a consultant (Individual) to support in conducting and assessment to address the GEYSI Learning Question "To what extent does the women-as- aggregators' model, MBO inclusion strategies, and GBV institutionalization contribute to the benefits of women's inclusion and empowerment within business entities?"

Review relevant documents such as the Activity GEYSI strategy, GEYSI inclusion Framework, GBV Assessment, Program Descriptions for individual agribusinesses/partners/ partnerships, Grant agreements, milestone deliverable reports for agribusinesses/partners, intervention justifications, methodology note for the study, market systems baseline and midline reports and other related program documents.
ii. Prepare an inception report that elaborates an understanding of the study methodology, data collection tools including the itinerary for the assignment in close collaboration with FtF IAM
