Post: Environment, Health and Safety Manager

G4S Uganda is seeking to recruit experienced personnel to fill the position of Health and Safety Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

•  Must be a Ugandan citizen or permanent resident
•  Must have a bachelors degree from a recognized University
• Certificate training in Environment, Health & Safety
• At least 4 years experience in a similar role in a large organisation
• Registration with professional / regulatory organisation as an expert or advisor
• Knowledge of local, international and security sector legislation

Key Roles:

•  implement EHS strategy
• Develop implement and review H&S policy and procedures
• Manage and audit H&S regulatory / corporate compliance and report / investigate incident / accident and near misses
•  Provide expert advice on EHS matters to Management

Additional roles:

• Monitoring and evaluation of EHS implementation plans
• investigate complaints relating to employees’ health & safety
• inspect / audit the workplace, health & safety tools and equipment
• Develop health & safety programmes / systems to ensure compliance by all employees
• identify safety training needs, organise and coordinate EH5 trainings
