Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and North America

Role Position: HR Officer Performance & Development (01 position, Kampala)
Reporting to the HR Coordinator Performance & Development, the successful candidate will monitor the implementation of Baylor Uganda performance and development system, policies and procedures aligned with Baylor Uganda’s mission
Overall responsibilities: The HR Officer Implements work plans and budgets for the execution of staff performance and development activities , monitor the implementation of policies and guidelines for performance and development, talent management and the dissemination and adoption of the approved policies, Participate in conducting staff needs assessment in regard to competence gaps at the individual, departmental, and organizational levels, Monitor compliance to the evaluation exercise and providing guidance during these performance reviews, Maintain up to date organograms both at the departmental level and organisation wide level, Generate period reports and submit them the supervisor for review, Participate in the evaluation of training programs to assess and justify return on investment by assessing the value or worth of training , manage the E-learning platform and generate periodic reports to the supervisor, Enact training programmes oriented towards in house training in both the region and the centre according to the training calendar and E-trainings to address the capacity gaps.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or Industrial and Organizational Psychology
  • The candidate must have at least two (2) years working HR experience in a reputable Organization
    Behavioural competencies:

  • networking and partnership skills.
  • Must be dynamic, Persuasive &convincing,
  • self- motivated and
  • able to demonstrate high initiative.
