JOB DETAILS:
Job purpose
• To support the delivery of a professional, client-focused HR services, partnering with managers to implement HR solutions in line with WFP corporate priorities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
• Analyse, monitor, adapt and respond to a variety of complex internal and external queries related to HR policies, rules and regulations in order to provide guidance to managers and staff to ensure business process efficiency and successful adaptation of recommended practices in alignment with wider WFP policies;
• Initiate, coordinate and rolls-out all HR internal communication messages;
• Prepare and provide accurate information, collating & analysing data and producing clear, insightful and meaningful reports;
• Manage the development and implementation of HR solutions by understanding how the organization works;
• Manage the talent acquisition process for positions based in the Area/Field offices, in liaison with HR team in the Country Office;
• Facilitate administration of written exams and interviews conducted/undertaken at the Area Office level as need be.
• Manage the delivery of effective on-boarding experiences at Area Office level;
• Coach Managers and Area Office /field offices HR Focal points on Performance Management for all types of contracts;
• Ensure all staff in operations have job descriptions, Terms of Reference (ToRs) and valid contracts, and a copy of the Annual Performance Plan (APP);
• Manage the communication and administration of learning and capability building interventions;
• Manage the implementation of learning needs and skill gap analyses;
• Role-model the ‘change-ready employee’ by remaining flexible, positive and open to change;
• Communicate and engage on the vision for performance culture, high performing teams and champions individuals and successful change management processes;
• Champion gender mainstreaming in the workplace;
• Coordinate with Heads of Field offices, Field offices HR Focal points and consolidate and manage database of staff leaves and absences, and provide reports/feedback to the Area Office management;
• Support HR operational activities or projects that are aligned to business needs, following standard processes and ensuring alignment with wider WFP policies and procedures;
• Oversee the maintenance of confidential personnel records, HR databases and archives, to ensure data and files are accurately stored and updated in compliance with established standards;
• Partake in HR oversight/support missions to satellite offices for standardization of HR process and practices;
• Undertake any other HR-related activities, as and when required.

Standard minimum qualifications, working experience and language
Education

• A Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Organisational Psychology or any other related fields, obtained from a recognized university.

Experience
• At least five (5) years working experience in human resources operations.

Knowledge & Skills
• Good command of oral and written English is essential.

Good Communication Skills

• Good working knowledge and experience using MS Office applications is a must.

Desired experience for the role
• Knowledge HR Business Partnering gained through relevant technical training and experience;
• Good communication skills and understanding of HR principles and their application in order to respond to and resolve HR queries;
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of individuals in order to provide a high quality support service;
• Ability to collate, analyse and compile relevant data from a variety of sources in order to produce periodic reports for supervisor(s);
• Solid experience using computer MS packages
