Our mission is to connect curious travelers with authentic cultural encounters across Uganda.

We are seeking highly motivated Marketing Associates to join our growing team to develop and implement a comprehensive partner outreach strategy that boosts brand awareness and grows our ecosystem of partners. These associates will be instrumental in identifying, engaging, and onboarding cultural tourism operators and guides to list their unique experiences on the Tusangaire platform, significantly expanding our offerings and achieving our target of 150 new listings within three months.

Objectives

  • Identify and target cultural tourism operators and guides, particularly those currently listed on competitor global platforms.
  • Effectively communicate the unique value proposition and benefits of Tusangaire to potential partners.
  • Build strong relationships and trust with potential partners through direct engagement.
  • Persuade and onboard partners, ensuring they successfully list their experiences on the Tusangaire platform and achieving targets.
  • Provide initial support to partners during the listing process to ensure smooth integration.

Scope of Work

Partner Identification and Outreach

  • Research and identify potential cultural tourism operators and guides, with an initial strategic focus on those already listed on competitor global platforms.
  • Initiate contact through calls, emails, face-to-face meetings, and virtual meetings to introduce Tusangaire and promote partnership opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver compelling pitches that highlight how Tusangaire aligns with and amplifies partner offerings.

Partner Engagement and Onboarding

  • Present the benefits of listing on the Tusangaire platform, emphasizing market reach, mission alignment, and platform features.
  • Negotiate terms and facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Address partner inquiries, concerns, and objections effectively and professionally.
  • Guide potential partners through the entire listing and onboarding process, providing necessary support and documentation.
  • Ensure the successful completion of partner listings on the platform.
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure partnership success.

Sales and Target Achievement

  • Actively work towards and manage a pipeline to achieve the assigned target of new partner listings within three months.
  • Track and report on individual outreach efforts, engagement rates, and successful partner onboardings.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare weekly reports on outreach activities, engagement metrics, and successful partner onboardings.
  • Provide insights into common partner feedback, challenges encountered, and suggestions for refining outreach and onboarding processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in tourism marketing, sales, or business development, preferably with a focus on cultural tourism or partner acquisition.
  • Enthusiastic recent graduates in tourism with exceptional communication and client engagement skills will be considered.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, manage a pipeline, and meet ambitious targets.
  • Familiarity with competitor platforms and the global cultural tourism landscape is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing partner data and processes.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct face-to-face visits with potential partners across various locations in Uganda

Duration

The initial engagement shall be for a period of three (3) months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs

Reporting

The Marketing Associate(s) will report to the Director of Operations and Head of Partnerships.

Compensation

The Marketing Associate(s) shall be paid a fixed monthly rate. In addition, a performance-based bonus will be provided for each successful partner listed and onboarded onto the Tusangaire platform, as agreed with the hiring manager. All pre-approved expenses incurred in performing the duties will be reimbursed.

Mandatory Training

The selected associate(s) must attend a half-day mandatory training to learn more about Tusangaire’s vision and mission, business model, quality standards and the Tusangaire platform features and value proposition.

The Associate(s) shall maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary information.
