Role Overview:
To receive, store, issue, and manage all inventory (especially bar stock, food items, and supplies) in an organized, secure, and systematic manner, ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders.
- Properly store items in designated areas (dry store, refrigerated, bar stock) using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) methods.
- Issue stock to the bar, kitchen, and other departments upon authorized request.
- Conduct regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe storage environment.
- Monitor stock levels and alert the Procurement Officer of low inventory or expiring items.
- Prepare inventory reports for management.
- Assist in controlling pilferage and ensuring security of stock.
- Support during audits and inventory checks.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in Storekeeping, Inventory Management, or relevant experience.
- Must have prior experience as a store keeper or in inventory control within a bar, restaurant, or hotel.
- Strong knowledge of bar stock, beverages, and F&B storage requirements (including temperature control).
- Physical ability to lift, move, and organize stock.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
- Honest, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
