JOB DETAILS:
Chemonics seeks a chief of party for an anticipated USAID-funded governance and accountability opportunity in Uganda. The activity will aim to work with government and non-government stakeholders to improve governance, accountability, and oversight in Uganda, thereby increasing citizen engagement in decision-making and fostering more responsive service delivery. We are looking for individuals that have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. .

Responsibilities include:
• Lead project management, including operations, administration, human resources, finance, and technical oversight
• Build and maintain relationships with USAID, country counterparts, and strategic partners
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, present, and implement a strategic, long-term programmatic vision
• Oversee and supervise project staff, project work planning, performance management, and strategic communications, driving the project's direction, performance, and adherence to USAID and Chemonics policies and procedures

  Qualifications:
• Master's degree in international development, public administration, public policy, economics, or relevant field preferred;
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience managing governance and accountability programs, both at national and local levels;
• Experience in and working knowledge of Uganda, including work with the public and private sectors and civil society, strongly preferred;
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and grantees;
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills required; Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
