JOB TITLE: Deputy Chief of Party (Governance Accountability Participation and Performance Program (GAPP)

Background To The Organisation
RTI international is currently accepting applications for a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for a current governance A project funded by the United Kingdom's Department for international Development (DFID) and an anticipated USAlD- funded governance support activity in Uganda to strengthen democratic governance and accountability systems and enhance their responsiveness to citizen needs, increase citizen participation in government decision making to improve senrice delivery, and enhance publictrustihis position will be a full-time role based in Uganda.
As background, RTI’s Governance and Economic Development (GED) Division pursues innovative approaches and builds on best practices to create the foundation for and to promote democratic governance and economic development. Working alongside global partners, public institutions, the private sector, and civil society, we help build more effective, accountable, and responsive institutions and policies at the national, regional, and local levers or government.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The DCOP will reportto the Chielot Party(COP). Helshe will be responsible tor, in collaboration with the COP, the overall operational and administrative management of the project as well as technical support as needed. Candidates should possess strong management, finance and administrative skills and a keen understanding ot the operating environment in Uganda. In addition, the candidate should have a strong understanding and experience working in the democracy, human rights and governance sector in Uganda..
