LWF-Uganda currently supports Congolese and South-Sudanese refugees living in settlements in the districts of Kamwenge, Adjumani, Moyo, Kyangwali and Lamwo respectively with access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene services, community services, protection,’ psychosocial support, livelihoods and environmental conservation.
The LWF Uganda is looking for mature, qualified and experienced persons for the following position:
Job Title: Technical Advisor Agricultural Livelihoods, Markets &CBI
Place of Assignment: Kampala Head Office
Report to: Programs Coordinator
Job Summary: The TA Agricultural Livelihoods, Markets & Cash Based interventions will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on LWF Uganda's Livelihoods, cash and market-based programming interventions, ensuring key quality standards are met throughout interventions, leading assessment, response analysis and design processes for livelihoods, cash and market-based interventions.
He/she will be responsible for engaging with peer organizations and government to influence practice, supporting the operations team to identify approach options for agricultural livelihoods programming, cash delivery, supporting flexible design to enable shifts in modalities with relative ease depending on changes in market and operational context, harmonizing approaches across different teams within the country program in relation to Agricultural Livelihoods and cash programming, documenting lessons leamt and sharing experience internally and externally..

Required qualifications, skills and experience:
• Master's Degree in a development related field, such as agricultural economics, agriculture, international development, agro-enterprise or agribusiness management required.
• Minimum of five years relevant working experience in an advisory or management role with progressive responsibilities, ideally with an intemational NGO.
• Experience in providing technical assistance 8i developing successful proposals for extemal donor funding is required.
• Demonstrated experience with humanitarian cash programming across different sectors, including food security, livelihoods, social protection and cash programming for shelter objectives is desirable;
• Demonstrated experience implementing high quality needs assessments, market assessment and analysis (including familiarity with tools such as the Rapid Assessment of Markets (RAM), Emergency Market Mapping and Analysis (EMMA), Market Assessment Guidance (MAG) and/or similar tools etc.)
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, facilitation and training applying adult teaming principles and practices.
• Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based and civil society partners. Understanding of partnership principles.
• Proficient in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Web Conferencing Applications, information and budget management systems, knowledge-sharing networks
