ICWEA is Recruiting District Coordinators
The International Community of Women living with HIV Eastern Africa (ICWEA) is recruiting District Coordinators (2) to coordinate district level implementation of the TASO/GF funded project that is being implemented in partnership with UGANET and HRAPF. They will work with a multi-disciplinary team and serve as the project focal persons (for the 14 – 17 districts) to promote the project goals, objectives and achievements/successes.
The International Community of Women living with HIV Eastern Africa (ICWEA) is a network for and by Women living with HIV. Women living with HIV, who meet the required Skills and Experience will be given the first priority. Women living with HIV are highly encouraged to apply.
Job title: District Project Coordinator
Duration: 13 months .

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
• Participate in implementation and management of the project scorecard and other related activities in 14 districts;
• Strengthen the capacity of local CSOs (organizations of people affected by malaria, TB and HIV&AIDS) to use scorecard results to engage respective duty bearers;
• Lead dialogues with different stakeholders in implementation of human rights responsive programs;
• Support project coordinator in production of work plans, budgets and reports for the project;
• Participate in developing and implementing strategies for achieving maximum project results/outcomes;
• Monitor and evaluate/track progress toward achieving stated outcomes;
• Organize, attend and participate in stakeholder meetings; and ensure that stakeholder views are well documented and inform continuous project improvement;
• Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from relating to the project;
• Monthly reporting to the Project Coordinator

Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Social Science, Project Management and Planning or a related field.
• Competencies (Knowledge, Experience and Skills)
• Essential Knowledge
• Knowledge of donor rules/regulations and track record of implementing donor funded projects;
• Knowledge of Global Fund, its funding cycles and operations (including Country Coordinating Mechanisms);
• Knowledge of HIV&AIDS, TB, Malaria and working with people affected by or living with HIV and TB;
• Extensive knowledge in community work – particularly working with networks of people living with HIV;
• Previous knowledge in use of social accountability mechanisms especially the scorecard;
• Knowledge of district decentralized structures and operations; and
• A keen sense of understanding of advocacy
Experience
• A minimum of 2 years of program management experience with local NGO including supervision, monitoring, evaluation and program design;
• Experience in strengthening community level systems and supporting service recipients to engage duty bearers;
• Expertise in engaging stakeholders spanning local/community, national and global levels;
• Experience in project management i.e. project inception, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and knowledge management;
