JOB DETAILS:
Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages Africa [CCBA] is the largest African Coca-Cola Bottler, accounting for 40% of all Coca-Cola volumes on the continent. Coca-Cola Beverages Uganda Limited is a subsidiary of CCBA. We are currently seeking to recruit a Machine Specialist based in Mbarara.
As a Machine Specialist, you will report directly to the Maintenance Controller.

Key Purpose Statement
The primary role of the machine specialist is to maintain, repair, and optimize plant and associated devices to ensure that plant availability and product quality at minimum cost; without sacrificing standards. The role also entails providing specialized machine skills and knowledge to the shift team and supporting the operations, maintenance, and problem-solving activities of the shift teams.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide specialist support to the shift-based teams during operations. This will include standby and day-shift support.
• Where requested, assist as a functional expert in problem-solving. This must be undertaken in support of the process artisan.
• Provide guidance and advice to the shift-based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding, and correct responses to machine failure modes.
• Take part in maintenance planning meetings, contributing suggestions, and clarifying work required.
• Carry out work during the planned maintenance window by the planned maintenance schedule issued by the Planner.
• Partake in cleaning, lubrication, and inspection following the maintenance schedule issued by the Maintenance Planner.
• Carry out routine maintenance activities following the maintenance schedule.
• Partake in carrying out running repairs on plant and equipment or support the shift artisans in carrying out repairs.
• Always operate safely, and identify and highlight unsafe work practices so that these may be corrected.

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
• Minimum requirement: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or any other related field
• Added advantage: Computer and technical skills, Physical strength, auditory acuity; visual acuity.

Experience
• 2 years of relevant technical experience in an FMCG environment
• Equipment functionality and packaging process in a process area
