JOB DETAILS:
KEY OUTPUTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinating and controlling all accounting functions an ensuring all expenses are fully and properly account accounted for, in accordance with company procedures and guide- lines
• Providing operating divisions with suitable guidelines on raising accounting documents and facilitating expectations settlement of insurance claims
• Provide monthly and quarterly management accounts-profit and loss balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Timely posting of monthly journals, importation of production data, and accuracy of the ledger on a monthly basis
• Providing data required for budgetary planning and preparation of budgetary schedules * Interact with external and internal auditors to produce financial statements, tax returns and attend to audit queries
• Ensure accurate computation, payment of corporation tax and submission of the necessary statutory returns

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance from a reputable University Professional qualification(s) in CPAU or ACCA
• At least 5 years' experience in an accounting role, managing a chat of accounts and must also demonstrate knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations
• Experience in the insurance industry and knowledge of the Navision system will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations and an understanding of applicable IFRSS.
