JOB DETAILS:

Experience and Other requirements:
• Three (3) years’ experience at officer level with practical experience in deploying and maintaining licenses for Software and Hardware and administering cloud services.

Qualifications:
• Post Graduate Diploma in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• An honors degree in Computer Science or related IT, IS, or Computing
• IT Industry certifications, with specific bias to ITIL and Microsoft technical certifications (MCSA, MTA)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the installation, configuration, integration, maintenance and administration of the server and other systems solutions, and ensure optimal performance;
• Manage and maintain Active Directory objects and set-up security policies, including access rights administration.
• Maintain and update the record of all IT equipment in IT inventory, and track the movement of all IT Hardware.
• Develop, update and maintain documentation and licenses for all systems acquired by the Bureau and ensure compliance to license conditions.
• Investigate and monitor system incidents and problems and carry out remedial actions; including performing routine audit of server systems to identify and fix any anomalies, and performance fine tuning.
• Manage and maintain of all the UBOS cloud services.
• Preparation of technical and system performance documentation.
• Perform daily backups and execution of disaster preparedness plans; manage storage and the restore processes, including periodic DR and restoration testing; based on the backup and retention plans
• Provide user support and training.
• Initiate and produce the section’s monthly, quarterly and annual work plans, procurement plans, training plans and budgeting.
• Supervise, mentor, develop and conduct performance appraisals of staff in the department.
• Prepare and submit timely accountability for resources.
• Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
