Post Senior Technician - Department Of Veterinary Pharmacy, Clinical And Comparative Medicine

Reporting To Principal Technician
Job Purpose : Support the Principal Technician in formulating, reviewing and maintaining standard operating procedures for use in the work place (laboratories).

Key, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure harmonious working relationships among staff under his/her care
2. Maintain laboratory equipment and facilities
3. Maintain financial and other resources in the course of duty
4. Participate in research and consultancy
5. Prepare and supervise students practical work
6. Maintain guidelines and regulations to ensure quality assurance and control; and safety in the work place
7. Mentor support staff in technical skills
Required Qualifications : A Higher Diploma or an Ordinary Diploma in Biomedical Laboratory Technology
Experience : At least five (5) years’ relevant experience in similar work.

1. Knowledge of relevant equipment and facilities;
2. Teamwork and interpersonal skills;
3. Ability to communicate precisely and concisely;
4. Analytical skills;
5. Proficiency in using machines and computers;
