JOB DETAILS:
Life Program - Geologist (M / F) – UGANDA
Geoscience & Reservoir

The Context of Your Mission :
• The Tilenga and Kingfisher oilfield developments are the upstream component of the Lake Albert project, Uganda's first oil development.
• The next final investment decision will trigger the development of Tilenga, the EPC & Drilling phase (43 months, 4.4 BUSD) and possibly the first oil.
• The relationship with the authorities, partners and all stakeholders is a key factor for the success of the company, during a transitional period of development / construction and preparation of First Oil.

Your objectives :
• Participate in the Geology workload to achieve the Geosciences and Reservoir macro-objectives;
• Participate in the monitoring of drilling operations to ensure efficient placement of development wells;
• Participate in the static evaluation of fields and their uncertainties.

Your activities :
• In connection with the RMP, prepare Well SORs in close collaboration with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, Geological & Drilling Operations teams (objectives, well trajectory, target, TD criteria, data acquisition) ;
• Collaborate with the operations geology, geophysics, reservoir engineering and drilling teams to deliver wells safely and achieve their objectives;
• Participate in the analysis of geological data. Manage this data with the Geoinformation team.
• Update the geological models with new data collected during the drilling campaign;
• Contribute to the documentation and reports required by the Local Authorities (PRR, ARR, ...).

Context and Environment
The incumbent will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France scale and will benefit from accommodation.

Required profile
Training sought :
You hold a BAC + 5 in geology

Computer skills :
You master the Office Pack and geoscience interpretation software (Petrel or others ...)

Technical skills desired :
You have knowledge in geology as well as of the oil industry.
Knowledge in the following areas: geophysics, well drilling operations, reservoir engineering, logging interpretation, measurement would be a plus.

Languages :
English: level C1
French: level B2
