Overview:
Logistics Officer UG As our Logistics Officer, you will report to the Logistics Coordinator and work closely with the COO, Operations Coordinators and Sourcing Officers across Uganda. You will lead Agricycle’s ingredient transportation from remote villages to centralized facilities across Uganda to Kenya, ensuring total reliability and consistency.
Leveraging your diligence and strategic thinking, you will easily forecast potential roadblocks to Agricycle Uganda’s supply chain and make immediate and self-directed efforts to avoid delays to shipments.

Responsibilities:
• Manage Uganda logistics to successfully deliver ingredients smoothly and on-time.
• Coordinate relevant team members to track progress toward meeting production demands.
• Handle all import and export related documentation and certifications to enable easy shipping.
• Ensure all standard operating procedures and additional requirements are followed during fulfillment.
• Collaborate with the operational coordinator in Uganda toward company goals.
• Maintain rigorous documentation of operations and communicate regularly with counterparts.
• Continually improve processes and identify inefficiencies that can be removed in Uganda operations.
• Build effective relationships and a reliable network of external vendors and partners in logistics.
• Any other reasonable responsibility given by supervising team members.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• University degree or advanced work experience in logistics, import/export, supply chain management or other related fields.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and ability to speak and write in English fluently.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, strong work ethic and unimpeachable integrity.
• Readiness and ability to regularly perform under pressure and within short timeframes.
• Readiness to travel anywhere in Uganda and sometimes work odd hours to match US time zones.
• Excellent working knowledge of computer applications, especially: gmail and google drive.
