JOB DETAILS:
Minimum Qualification
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institution plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre as well as a Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized University. Applicants should be Members of the relevant professional Associations.

Working Experience
Applicants should have a minimum of nine (9) years working experience, three (3) of which should have been gained at Assistant Commissioner or Head of Department level in Government or from a reputable organization.

Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Director Legal Services for performing the following duties:-
• Conducting research on legal matters, interpret laws, advise and guide the Director Legal services in line with the KCCA Act.
• Providing Secretarial services to the Management Executive and Disciplinary Committees, be a member of the Contracts Committee and coordinate follow up action on issues arising from the Committees in line with KCCA Act.
• Responding to Council’s enquiries, queries, claims and complaints in line with the KCCA Act.
• Compiling, analyzing and preparing reports on issues arising from council policy rulings for management information in line with the KCCA Act and management guidelines.
• Developing and maintaining an updated departmental information management system in line with departmental guidelines.
• Managing the performance and development of staff in line with the HRMM and management decision.
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
