Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance to SACCOs on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
• Represent SACCOs in legal proceedings and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the co-operative sector.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Law from School of Law.
• Must be an Advocate of the High Court with a current practicing certificate.
• Proven experience in a legal role, preferably within the financial services or co-operative sector.
