JOB DETAILS:
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

On behalf of our client we seek to recruit a highly competent, motivated and professional individual to fill the position of CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER. Potential candidates should be able to integrate into the existing leadership team and deliver results within an organization with multi-cultural and diverse team.

Overall Job Purpose

Reporting to the Managing Director, the position holder will take overall leadership of the Finance and Accounting function of the company, provide strategic financial advice to the Board and Senior Management Team, champion investment decisions. and enforce the implementation of the financial strategy, procedures and internal controls.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute the financial strategy of the company,
• Manage and control existing finance management and accounting staff,
• Train and oversee the audit departments,
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances,
• Advise on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
• Evaluate and communicate on potential risks in a timely manner
• Negotiate credit lines with banks and other financial institutions,
• Review and approve monthly accounts figures prepared by accounts staff, and present to the MD,
• Develop and implement a complete system of financial controls and ERR

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related fields,
• Professional accounting qualification,
• Result oriented, Strategic thinker and planner,
• Experience of accounting stocks of commodities,
• Strength in corporate financing,
• 10+ years in a senior management position,
• Capacity to handle complex situations with integrity and clarity,
