JOB DETAILS:

Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.

Primary function
• Responsible for the geophysical exploration and exploitation technical support work in the exploratory development blocks, including the project general arrangement and technical method designing, general research plan composition, and the seismic data acquisition and material interpretation work plan and budget composition

Responsibilities
• Be responsible for the planning of the project general arrangement and technical method, make the general research plan, the project operation plan and the annual targets and i coordinate the research work.
• Be responsible for the oil field geophysical research work as in the deep research in the structure and the reservoir bed, the organization of the demonstration in the new well location, well-drilling performance tracking and composing as well the adjustment proposals.
• Manage the seismic data acquisition and processing, material interpretation work plan and budget composition.
• Propose the bidding procedure and strategy of the service contract and the procurement in geophysical works; participate in organizing and coordinating the bidding issues and service contract signing in geology.
• Master the advanced methodology in the field geophysical research at home and abroad to introduce to the subordinates to create new technology, techniques and methodologies.
• Analyze regularly and solve the different problems that may occur in the field geophysical issues and the well testing as in the production design and feedback and the inefficiency and high consumption in the production procedure.
• Manage the seismic interpretation evaluation work procedure and new technology, techniques and methodologies.

• Manage the seismic interpretation evaluation work procedure and examine the interpretation evaluation work outcome.
• Other tasks as assigned by superior.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree and above in Geophysics or geology or related.
• At least 15 years of the related working experience.

Knowledge
• Knowledge about geophysical research and geological research methodology
• Knowledge about the research procedure of the integrate exploration, development project
• Master the advanced software.
