Kyagalanyi Coffee Ltd. [KCL] is a member of the Volcafe group, the coffee division of ED&F Man. It is the oldest and largest coffee exporter in Uganda and the first to become lSO 9001:2008 certified. We're are looking for an experienced Assistant CFO to join our team of high-performing professionals to help keep our finances insightful and instrumental to our continued success.

Reports to: Chief Finance Officer
Job Summary
The Assistant CFO will have both a day-to-day and strategic level impact on company operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. The Assistant CFO should have a strong understanding of current accounting best practices and trends, with proven experience in a similar and challenging finance role. As a well as providing expertise in technical finance tasks and activities the Assistant CFO will also play a key business partner role liaising with all operational and commercial functions in order to drive and improve financial processes and controls across a growing organisation..

General Requirements and Responsibilities:
• ACCA/CPA, MBA with at least 12-15 years relevant experience and wide exposure
• Experience in a fast paced demanding environment with similar background — commodities, manufacturing, FMCG etc.
• Very proactive with the desire to truly act as a business partner and link between the finance function and the business.
• Assist the CFO in all areas of responsibilities reporting, analysis, control, statutory/regulatory and Group compliance.
• Carry out ad-hoc assignments & special projects at head office and in our field operations working towards improving controls & risk management including internal audit roles
• Spearheading projects to improve financial policies, processes and procedures
• Managing budget and forecasting process including variance analysis
• Ensuring proper supervision of finance and accounting team towards timely reporting, coordinating IT support for the team,
• Support strategic direction and execution
• Liaise with HR on matters of payroll and compensation management
• Ability to co-ordinate and carry out all daily operational technical finance activities in order to support the team as and when necessary
