JOB DETAILS:
The Mission of the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries is to “Transform Subsistence Farming to Commercial Agriculture".
The Government of Uganda has received credit from the African Development Bank towards financing the Agriculture Value Chain Development Programme (AVCP)- Project l.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to poverty reduction and economic growth in Uganda through enhanced productivity and commercialization of agriculture.
These positions are to be filled on a two year contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and needs of the Employer.
PROJECT: AGRICULTURE VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (AVCP) PROJECT I
Job Title: Information Technology Officer

job Purpose: Reporting to the National Project Coordinator, the IT Officer will support the planning and implementation of the ICT based input and extension platform that will be implemented by the project.

Qualifications and Experience:
• An honors Degree in Computer Science, Business Computing, Information Systems, Systems or information Technology or Information Communications Technology (ICT)
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, 3 years of which should be in establishment] maintenance of ICT platforms gained from a Government or Development Partner supported Organization.
• A valid professional certification in networking/ security / and systems administration is an added advantage.
