Education Development Center (EDC) is a global nonprofit that advances lasting solutions to improve education, promote health, and expand economic opportunity, with a focus on vulnerable and under-served populations. United States Agency for international Development (USAID) has selected EDC to implement the USAID integrated Child and Youth Development (ICYD) Activity. A 5-year activity with a goat tor Ugandan children and youth. especially the most vulnerable, to receive the support and services necessary to lead resilient, healthy. and productive lives.
The ICYD Activity is expected to achieve the following:
1. Children and youth have improved teaming outcomes:
2. Children and youth are sale and healthy in their community and teaming environments; and
3. Youth practice positive behaviors and are able to make informed decisions about their lives and relationships,
This Activity will address the mutually reinforcing relationship between improving teeming outcomes and improving well-being and employ a comprehensive approach that merges PEPFARIOVC‘s strengths in acute vulnerability stabilization with education's broad protective effects.
EDC is currently hiring the following positions for the USAID ICYD/Activity:
Materials Development Manager.

The Materials Development Manager will manage development and production of EGR and School Related Gender-based Violence (SRGBV) teaching. teaming, and Coaching/supervision materials and community engagement resources. in collaboration with the ICYD EGR technical team and EDC home office technical advisers. The Materials Development Manager reports to the Senior Technical Advisor-Education and supervises the Print Materials Specialist and Digital Materials Specialist. This is a full-time position based in Kampala, Uganda.


Selected Required Skills:
• Bachelor's degree and 8 or more years of experience in developing or revising educator professional development materials and student teaming resources, with a locus on early grade reading or SRGBV materials preferred;
• Desktop publishing experience required; experience with in Design graphic design software strongly preferred;
• Experience with USAID-funded projects preferred
