VVOB - Education tor Development, is a Belgian non-profit organization that focuses on improving the quality of education. VVOB has its head - quarters in Brussels (Belgium) and is currently implementing education programmers in 8 countries in the global South. As from May onwards VVOB will start implementing a new programme that focuses on improving the quality of the business, technical and vocational education and training (BTVET) sector in Uganda through strengthening the professional development of Uganda’s Agricultural TVET instructors via pre-service. This programme will be implemented in partnership with the Department of Teacher and instructor Education and Training (TIET); the Business, Technical, Vocational Education and Training (BT\/ET) Department of the Ministry of Education and Sports(MoES); and the National Instructors’ College Abilonino (NICA) in Lira.VVOB will establish an office in Kampala and a branch office in Lira.
Both offices will have technical and administrative staff, but all staff is expected to regularly travel between these offices, and between the offices and NICA.
VVOB is currently hiring for the following position (national staff):
Finance & Administration Officer
Duty Station: VVOB Office in Lira
Start Bate: as soon as possible
Contract duration: until 31/12/2621, with possible extension The finance and administration officer is responsible for classifying, scanning and uploading invoices, classifying payments by bank account and ensuring timely collection of good quality accounting documentation according to donor rules and regulations, in addition, the finance and administrative officer provides administrative and logistical support to the VVOB programme activities and team members.

Required Education Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Accounting

Required Experience
• At least three years of relevant work experience in a similar position
• Experience with donor-funded projects;
• Excellent ICT knowledge, especially text processing and excel spreadsheets
