Job Summary
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Program Director (PD), this role will be part of the Program Delivery Team. The H&N Specialist will support in making FHU a partner of choice in Health and Nutrition Programming in Uganda. Provide substantive and hands-on support to Area Programs (APs) and technical officers to implement the FH H&N technical projects. Support FH Uganda Program in technical and programmatic project management, design, proposal writing, representation and monitoring of Health and Nutrition sector within FH multi-sector development programs and projects that are consistent with the Health and Nutrition and projects that are consistent with the Health and Nutrition technical program and Transforming Field Experience (TFE) re-imagination initiative, and to collaborate with other sectors to develop integrated programming.

Duties and Responsibilities

Education & Experience
• A minimum 7+ years of previous experience in health and nutrition programming
• Experience developing proposals in the health, public health and or nutrition.
• Experience in mainstreaming gender, environment, peace-building, disability and or institutional development (NNGO and government).
• Experience working with Government and other partners (Multi-lateral Agencies, private donors).
• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Food science and Technology, Nutrition and dietetics or related sciences from accredited university.
• MSc in Public Health, Nutrition and project management is desirable

Job Summary
Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Program Director, the Humanitarian Response Coordinator (HRC) will plan, organize, coordinate and lead upcoming humanitarian emergency responses as well as nexus programs for FH Uganda. Will explore possibilities of new opportunities in relief and humanitarian affairs to assist communities in need and better position FHU in the humanitarian sector in Uganda. The HRC will ensure timely, accurate and effective delivery of humanitarian interventions and ensure the projects stay on time, scope, and budget, promote practice of performance, accountability, and risk management in line with in line with FH's "Transforming Field Experience(TFE)" re-imagination initiative.

Education & Experience

• Knowledge and understanding of Emergency Food Security and Livelihoods, Education and WASH programming in emergencies, humanitarian response, complex emergencies, conflict resolution and international humanitarian law/standards,
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in disaster response and management, Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, development studies, social work, Food science and nutrition
• Postgraduate qualification in disaster response, project management, Natural resource management, development studies, social work is an added advantage.

Language
• Proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is satisfactory. Ability to speak local language of the area is an added advantage.

Function
Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Agribusiness Facilitator - Agribusiness for Women Empowerment will be responsible for the delivery of business facilitation services in the communities. To support women in refugee and host communities to establish new businesses and/or expand businesses in the prioritized value chains. S/He will offer business support services to individuals and groups as well as facilitating linkages with commercial service providers. The Business Facilitator will report to the project manager.
The Agri-business Facilitator will work closely with the Project Manager (PM) and community facilitators, community agro-entrepreneurs, to support agribusiness development activities to increase the overall level of competitiveness of women in refugee and host communities in the selected value chains and other non-agricultural employment opportunities within the project area. S/he will be responsible for the oversight of field-based business development activities.
S/he will collaborate with women agri-enterprises (agri-hubs, off takers, Self Help Groups (SHGs), private sector and regulatory bodies/ boards to enhance value-chain actors' benefits and leverage service delivery at each level of contact with both women entrepreneurs/ farmers and customers. S/he will also work closely with private sector players (processors, input suppliers, financial service providers), government agencies and development partners to design and implement appropriate business cases and interventions that improve the business performance of the women enterprises.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors' Degree or equivalent in the fields of Agriculture
• Economics, Business Administration, Rural Development,
• Enterprise Development or another related field,
• Three (3) years field and technical experience with commercial
• sector, agribusiness development in a mix of economic growth/ trade, value chain competitiveness, investment promotion, or agriculture development
• Experience working with farmer group programs in refugee settlements

• Significant experience in building public/private partnerships, preferably in the agricultural sector.

Function
Under the guidance of the Senior Accountant, the AWE Project Accountant will play a significant role in strengthening core global systems by ensuring the proper accounting and reporting of resources in project implementation by maintaining systems of accountability, processing accounting information, internal and external financial reporting, cash and bank account maintenance and other financial tasks as assigned in liaison with relevant Heifer departments.
The person contributes to the program impact by preparing project financial reports and monitoring budget burn rates for effective implementation of the project. The accountant will assist with financial and accounting aspects of the country program office and the processing of routine financial transactions in accordance with Heifer's policies and procedures. The accountant also ensures compliance with Heifer and UN Women requirements for the AWE II Program. This position interacts with similar positions in other teams to promote consistency throughout the country and area program.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field is required, part Il qualification of any professional course ACCA, CPA is a must and six (6) years' experience in a nonprofit organization. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.

The Project
Water 4 Dairy Business is a two-year project that aims at providing equal access to water for dairy farmers and neighbouring communities) in two selected dairy cooperatives in Kiboga district. W4DB will set-up viable water supply chain at the level of the cooperative to reach 7,500 families, improve the milk quality at farmer and cooperative level, and create buy-in from financial institutions for scalability

Function
Under the guidance of the Project Manager - Power, Water and Internet (PWI), the Project coordinator- Water for Dairy Business (W4DB) will be responsible for the development of design plans, working drawings, technical specifications, bill of quantities as per project document and standards by the Ministry of Water & Environment; supervision of implementation and contract administration of water supply development including water supply installation and borehole drilling, Water supply construction, and Water spring Protection works, sanitation facilities and waste disposal systems; Mainstreaming of sector management approaches in all water related interventions. S/he will provide technical guidance and support to Producer Organization (PO) boards, staff and farmers on water for domestic use and dairy production.
The project coordinator will be accountable for all project activities; needs assessments, water related studies, partner/stakeholder coordination and engagement, development of water business models, capacity building of Producer Organization management teams, producing related reports on project progress; supervising and appraising the performance of water facilities at Producer Organization level; timely project implementation and delivery of the intended outcomes.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in water and Sanitation Engineering, Civil Engineering, water Resource Engineering or Environmental Engineering with five (5) years' experience coordinating and implementing rural water projects.

• Computer literacy particularly in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power point, and SPSS.
