Women First Digital (WFD) launched in 2015 as a fully-online femtech organization to leverage the twin forces of the internet and the broadening global availability of medical abortion to ensure women had access to accurate, confidential, and compassionate support to realise their reproductive rights everywhere in the world. As 120 million women each year face unplanned pregnancies, we bet on the internet to provide access and scale.
Today, that bet paid off. Women First Digital (WFD) is a global leader in meeting reproductive needs through safe, accessible, and user-centered digital initiatives that connect users to abortion care, contraception, and provider education. Through our three flagship eHealth platforms—safe2choose, Find My Method, and How To Use—we reach millions of people annually with the accurate information, counseling, and referrals they need to make informed health decisions. We are again looking to the future by integrating responsible AI to scale up our reach and personalization, while remaining true to our human-centred values that are held by our locally embedded counsellors, tech team and designers.
