The Salesman/Driver will play a key role in driving sales growth by managing and negotiating
with clients, generating leads, expanding the customer base, and ensuring timely delivery of
products. The role combines sales responsibilities with safe and efficient vehicle operation to
support product distribution and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Duties

  • Register all sales in the company system consistently and accurately.
  • Generate sales through various methods (cold calling, door-to-door, presentations,
    referrals, etc.).
  • Seek approval from the Managing Director before making any credit sales.
  • Forecast sales, develop innovative sales strategies, and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Maintain and expand a customer database, build strong relationships, and track customer
    performance.
  • Research potential clients, follow up on leads, and work to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Participate in meetings, training workshops, and sales events to stay updated on industry
    trends.
  • Collect and report market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and strategies.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues to management when
    necessary.
  • Submit accurate daily and monthly sales summaries to the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service in all sales interactions.

Driver Duties

  • Operate and maintain company vehicles in good working condition, ensuring cleanliness
    and safety.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report defects promptly.
  • Follow delivery instructions, complete documentation, and retain receipts as required.
  • Drive safely and comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company
    policies.
  • Deliver products in line with journey plans and ensure accuracy of goods delivered.
  • Ensure vehicles have valid road licenses, insurance, and GPS tracking.
  • Promptly report accidents or incidents to relevant authorities, insurance providers, and
    company management as per procedure.
  • Assist in loading/unloading products where required.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of UACE (A’ Level) or a Diploma in Marketing, Sales, or Business-related field.
  • Valid driving permit for commercial vehicles (CM, CH, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within FMCG or distribution environments.
  • Experience operating delivery vehicles; ability to ride a Tuk Tuk is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
  • Good numerical and math skills for sales reconciliations.
  • Strong hand–eye coordination and driving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
  • Problem-solving and reporting abilities.
