BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd is hiring Customer Relationship Officer – Agricultural Lending (51) to grow BUBL’s agricultural loan product portfolio in assigned satellites while adhering to client protection principles, internal policies and procedures, and Bank of Uganda regulations

BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd launched on 25 April 2019 and attained its current status as a Tier II Credit institution following a successful background as the leading Microfinances services provider in Uganda. The bank operates 32 regulated branches and 159 satellite offices covering 84 districts in Uganda targeting Micro, Small. and Medium Entrepreneurs. BRAC Uganda Bank Ltd promotes financial inclusion by extending financial services to unserved and underserved populations especially women and youth as well as people living in poverty in rural areas. The Bank is operationally and financially self-sustaining with over 231,000 active customers and a loan book in excess of Ushs.175 billion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Advise and or sensitize prospective and existing clients on BUBL’s loan products and cross-sell other financial products and services.
- Carry out training of clients on good agricultural practices, climate-smart agriculture, financial literacy, and other relevant training.
- Guiding clients to fill out loan application forms and attach relevant documents in line with BUBL’s loan requirements.
- Conduct loan appraisals through undertaking field visits to loan applicants’ homes, agricultural fields where required.
- Disburse approved loans to clients on a daily basis in line with the set performance targets.
- Appraise loan applicants’ character, credit histories, and conduct reference checks to ascertain willingness to repay the loan.
- Monitor outstanding loans and performance of the loan portfolio daily.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma/bachelor’s degree in Crop Science, Agricultural Economics or any Agriculture-related course.
- Female Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and possession of a valid riding permit is an added advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Competences
- Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills and the ability to convince a client.
- Knowledge of good agricultural practices and climate smart agriculture
- Computer knowledge especially in Microsoft Office suite for MS word and Excel.
- Able to work in a team.
