Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and results-oriented Account Manager to join Next Media Group, working across United Media, Next Radio, and Radio Wala as distinct brands. The Account Manager will be responsible for driving revenue through the sale of advertising slots and sponsorship opportunities across these radio platforms. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and develop tailored radio advertising solutions that meet client objectives while contributing to the commercial growth of each brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across various industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Sell advertising slots and sponsorship opportunities across United Media, Next Radio, and Radio Wala.
  • Meet with clients to understand their marketing and communication objectives and recommend tailored radio advertising solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, quotations, and commercial pitches.
  • Negotiate advertising and sponsorship agreements and successfully close deals.
  • Collaborate with programming, production, and marketing teams to deliver effective client campaigns.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, client database, and regular sales reports.
  • Monitor radio, media, and advertising trends to identify new commercial opportunities.
  • Represent United Media, Next Radio, and Radio Wala at client meetings, networking engagements, and industry events.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Mass Communication, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or business development, preferably within the radio or media industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of the Ugandan media and radio landscape is an added advantage.
