Mkazipreneur is looking for an experienced Accounts Associate to support the finance and operations team by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions including receipts, payments, and bank deposits. • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Support in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning documents.
• Assist in payroll processing and statutory compliance (e.g. PAYE, NSSF, VAT).
• Maintain organized financial files and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and partners on finance-related matters.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documents and schedules.
• Ensure all financial data is entered accurately into accounting software, QuickBooks
• Support the development and implementation of improved financial controls and systems.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Knowledge of Ugandan tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
