Job Purpose

Support the finance department by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post accounting entries into the accounting system.
  • Process supplier invoices and customer payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, cash, and ledger balances.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Assist with payroll processing where required.
  • Monitor fuel station sales reconciliations and cash collections.
  • Assist during internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and tax regulations.
  • Perform any other finance duties assigned by the Finance Manager or Chief Accountant.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CPA Level II or higher is often an added advantage.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the petroleum, retail, or FMCG sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
