Soroti University is a Public University in Uganda located in Soroti City, Eastern Uganda Seven (7) kilometres along Soroti-Katakwi- Moroto Road. The University Secretary hereby invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant posts listed below that exist in the University

Purpose of the Job

Assist the Senior Staff in teaching and examining undergraduate students, conducting practicals and research activities.

Person Specifications

• Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
• Honours Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Age : Below 40 years at the time of the advert

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing lectures, practicals and conducting them to undergraduate students.
• Setting tests, examinations and coursework according to University Standards.
• Marking tests and examinations scripts and compiling results according to grading standards of the University.
• Administering and invigilating tests, examinations and coursework according to University standards.
• Supervising students undertaking research in line with the University’s guidelines and regulations.
• Conducting research and disseminating/publishing findings.

Key Outputs

• Lectures prepared and delivered to undergraduate students.
• Tests, examinations and coursework set, marked and results compiled.
• Tests, examinations and coursework administered.
• Research conducted, and research findings disseminated/published.
