More than one year demonstrated relevant experience in a related field is an added advantage.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Develop targeted containment and eradication protocols for parasitic and invasive weeds of national concern (e.g., Striga hermonthica, water hyacinth and dodder species).

Conduct independent regulatory testing of new herbicide formulations submitted for national registration to evaluate crop safety, environmental persistence, and efficacy.

Establish a national monitoring network to track, map, and report the development of Herbicide resistance in local weed populations.

Formulate rotational herbicide matrices to guide extension workers and farmers on mitigating chemical resistance.
