POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving Corporation’s commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, expanding market presence, and supporting the corporation’s diverse business ventures across its subsidiaries and joint ventures.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Economics or related field.
Master’s Degree or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
Minimum 5-7 years experience in business development, sales, strategic partnerships, or enterprise growth—preferably in industrial, construction, engineering, security, or public-sector environments.
Strong understanding of Uganda’s industrial, defence-related, and commercial sectors.
Proven ability to generate revenue, build partnerships, and drive organizational growth.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across Corporation’s operational sectors.
- Conduct market research to assess industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
- Establish and strengthen partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders, including local and international entities.
- Support the growth of Corporation’s joint ventures and collaborative projects.
- Lead the preparation of high-quality business proposals, bids, and commercial tenders in line with Corporation’s standards.
- Oversee negotiation and execution of business agreements.
- Work closely with Corporation subsidiaries—such as Corporation’s Construction Works, to identify revenue expansion opportunities and optimize commercial operations.
- Assist in commercialization strategies for new or existing projects within the corporation.
- Promote Corporation’s mission, values, and service offerings to enhance brand visibility and market trust.
