Role Overview
As a Fundraising Consultant, you will provide specialized expertise to help develop and implement effective fundraising strategies. Your role will involve identifying and cultivating donor relationships, managing campaigns, and securing financial support for our initiatives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and innovative, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment. You will be instrumental in driving our mission forward and making a tangible impact in the community.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Location: Ntungamo District
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid
- Reporting Structure: Reports to Programs Manager
- Number of Vacancies: 10
Key Responsibilities
1. Identify and build relationships with potential donors.
2. Solicit cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individual, business, or government donors.
3. Compile or develop materials to submit to granting or other funding organizations.
4. Conduct research to identify the goals, net worth, charitable donation history, or other data related to potential donors.
5. Develop fundraising activity plans that maximize participation or contributions and minimize costs.
6. Establish fundraising or participation goals for special events or specified time periods.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Education: Post-secondary diploma in any related fields.
- Experience: 2-3 years in fundraising or related roles.
- Skills: Excellent speaking, writing, persuasion, critical thinking, and social perceptiveness. - Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electronic mail software (Google), office suite software (MS Office), word processing software, ERP software (SAP), and internet browsers (Chrome, Firefox).
- Language Requirements: Proficient in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional Skills: Active learning, complex problem solving, and management of financial resources.
- Preferred Responsibilities: Secure commitments of participation or donation from individuals or corporate donors, and write and send letters of thanks to donors.
