The Data Assistant will support will play a key role in maintaining transparency and accountability in the Project by managing distribution records, tracking item deliveries, and ensuring accurate data entry and documentation

Job Location: Masaka, Uganda

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of distributed livelihood items (e.g., tools, materials, inputs) to project beneficiaries.
  • Support field teams during distributions by recording attendance, collecting signatures, and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Enter distribution data into digital or manual databases in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify data from the field to ensure consistency, completeness, and correctness.
  • Assist in generating regular distribution reports and summaries for internal use and donor reporting.
  • Organize and archive paper-based and digital records of beneficiaries and distribution activities.
  • Work closely with field staff, community facilitators, and logistics teams to reconcile distribution figures and track item movement.
  • Maintain strict data confidentiality and adhere to project data management protocols.
  • Should be based in Masaka district

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience in data entry, recordkeeping, or administrative support
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing physical and digital records.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and basic data entry tools.
  • Experience working in the field and engaging with communities is an asset.
  • Knowledge of local languages is a plus.
