Job Purpose

The Distributor Representative will work to enhance the company’s competitiveness by optimizing product availability, visibility, and freshness at the point of sale. Working on the frontline, the job holder will play a vital role in shaping the company’s image and leverage strong relationships with retail partners to drive the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and list new wholesalers and retailers within the assigned distributor market.
  • Ensure retention of the existing wholesalers and retailers within the assigned distributor market.
  • Support the distributor achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual volume targets for product brands within the assigned distributor market.
  • Service all customers on DR journey plan as per market schedule.
  • Monitor and report market intelligence activities against competition within the distributor market.
  • Support the distributor finance team in the overall management of credit control.
  • Act as a consultant on planned Marketing campaigns within the market.
  • Comply with the distributors and company’s standard ways of work.
  • Responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the delivery process and at the point of sale by applying the "first in, first out" principle to maintain product freshness and implementing the company’s product recall policy in cases of physical damage.
  • Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with trade partners by ensuring clear communication, resolving concerns proactively, and representing the company professionally to enhance visibility and support business objectives.
  • Information management:
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of trade partners.
  • Collect market information regularly and forward it at the right time through appropriate communication channels.
  • Prepare business reports on time and in line with quality expectations.
  • Ensure and maintain effective information flow with his/her manager and colleagues.
  • Handle information with utmost confidentiality both internally and externally.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Competences

  • Diploma in any business-related field or higher education degree.
  • Driving license type “A&B” and more than 1 year’s driving experience.
  • 1 Year sales experience in related field within the FMCG sector.
  • Experience in the retail sector
  • Negotiation, Selling and Merchandising skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Accuracy and systematic way of working.
  • Decision making skills
  • User level PC skills.
  • English language skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • Team player.
  • Commitment to own development.
  • Quality driven.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
